What About Envita?
Envita is yet another example in the world of healthcare that you need to do your own due diligence. No one will do it for you (usually). And if it seems to be too good to be true, it probably is.
HERE is a copy of the FDA warning letter sent to Envita on Jone 14, 2006.
Desperate People Get Fleeced
I have been pitched a countless number of times by people trying to sell me the ultimate cure for my long-term Lyme Disease.
I’m sure many who have done this are well-meaning, but I have little patience for any of them, since they are willing to promote a miracle cure to me without doing any due diligence. They want to be my heroes, but aren’t willing to do even the most minute checking first.
I have heard many very sad stories of long term Lyme Disease sufferers who have spent all their money on treatment, only to end up just as sick as before (often sicker) and now with no savings.
Several families I know have spent the entire family savings on clinics who heavily advertise their ability to cure long term Lyme Disease, cancer, and many other diseases, only to discover it didn’t cure them and most often, didn’t help at all. Several have come home broke and died shortly thereafter from the very disease they were supposed to arrive home cured of.
The Disclaimer
It is notable that Envita “proudly” displays the following disclaimer on the front page of their website: “Disclaimer: Individual results will vary. Envita makes no guarantees for outcomes. Each patient case is unique. Please consult your doctor before making any changes to your medical treatment. Not every patient is a candidate for care or achieves these results. Treatments used in this case may not all be FDA approved for the treatment of this condition.”
In other words, if you choose to take your chances with them, they will gladly take your money. However, they will not offer any kind of guarantee.
Treatments Might Work
…and they might not. How much are you willing to pay for hope? How much can you afford? Can you handle paying a lot on a gamble and not necessarily getting well?
When you’re chronically ill, it can get pretty desperate at times. Be careful not to let that keep you from doing your due diligence.
Before embarking on expensive treatment, be sure to ask for and talk to as many real people who have been successfully treated as you can. If no such contacts can be provided, steer clear. Once you’re broke, your choices are gone.
